The use of funds under national programmes for the support of apiculture in Poland

Summary/Abstract: The article aims at presenting the objectives and levels of spending funds under the National Programme for the Support of Apiculture in Poland between 2007/08-2009/10 and 2010/11-2012/13. The author discusses hitherto unpublished figures generated by the Agricultural Market Agency, as well as information concerning the current situation on the apiculture market in Poland and the prospects after 2014. This article is a product of the project No. 3745/B/H03/2011/40 NCN implemented between 2010-2014. The analysis was carried out based on a descriptive method, however, the elements of comparative analysis are also present.
