The use of the linear programming method to assess the production process of groups of farms of some chosen agricultural types

Summary/Abstract: The linear programming method plays an important role in an optimal decisions making. It can be used, inter alia in the process of production planning and when planning optimal level of employment. The models of linear programming can be used in agricultural farm management and in its operation planning. The aim of this article is the assessment of possibility of the use of the linear programming method in order to assess optimal outlay of production factors which maximizes its values in the groups of farms of some chosen agricultural types. The data for the years 2004-2008 were chosen, for the groups of farms of the Pomerania and Masuria region, specializing in field crops, gardening crops, and sustained crops and those which deal simultaneously with different kinds of crops.
