Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the present-day context and the arguments in favor of striving for a continuously improved communication, both in content, expression and means of conveying message. In today’s world, the institutions of higher education are witnessing an ever changing role. Banned from their ivory towers they are more and more seen as the vital link between research and enterprises. In order to fulfil their role both as mediators between society at large and their students, and as providers of education, of innovative solutions to ever greater demands, higher education institutions are faced with the challenging task of communication. It seems there is no longer enough to offer pertinent or even excellent skills and knowledge to their students preparing them for a lifelong adaptation and adjustment, to search and unveil great discoveries. There is an increasing awareness for the demand of communicating through a variety of means and channels, their own self, their image, their results, their offer. Their success depends essentially on that.
