Summary/Abstract: European Union (EU) financed projects is a major subject for discussions at member states’ level and worldwide, given their major impact on countries’ development. The main information source concerning projects’ implementation all over Europe is the European Commission (EC). The current research represents an alternative information source concerning projects’ implementation for the Northwest Region of Romania. While EC’s approach is mainly technical, most documents ensuring guidance for the administration, the current research is based on a questionnaire completed by management team members of projects. The research identifies the main problems that project team members face when dealing with projects financed by the European Union. An important effort shall be made by future Romanian administrations in order to improve the opinions Romanian projects’ team members concerning EU financed projects and to increase the absorption rate of European funds. The research is considered to be of great interest especially now, when Europe is facing a new development stage.
