Summary/Abstract: This paper explores the possibility to develop an instrument for measuring resilience to pressure of authority towards unethical behavior. The importance of such instrument would lie in its practical applicability for selection purposes for all jobs where it is imperative that there be no unethical (corrupt) behavior. In this research we used NEO PI-R personality inventory and analyzed the results of a previous experiment (Hedrih&Želeskov, 2003). The obtained results show that subjects who resisted in the experimental situation and those that did not differ significantly on several personality dimensions and subdimensions (O, E3, N4, N6, E1, E4, A4, E) of the fore mentioned personality inventory. We can conclude that the NEO PI-R personality inventory could be used for predicting the resilience to pressure of authority towards unethical behavior, but that further research is needed for both developing an optimal predictor and determining its precise metrical characteristics.
