Summary/Abstract: This article focuses on the issue of a book written for order made by international publishers. There are many changes in the social status of the book today. First of all the receiver is getting an active part of an author-receiver contact. He is coming into a dialog with an author and is capable to influence the sender’s publishing decisions. Modern reader’s process is based on economical principles. That means that a book which is expected to be a sold must be a subject to the same process, as other products on a market. The role of a litterary creator is being modificated: author must conquer his own publicity to exist on the book market. This article focuses on 3 cases where authors who have their own publicity, try to find other possibility to exist in readers‘ consousness: by the way of conforming to receivers‘ interests (e.g. Michal Viewegh, who published his diary in 2006) or by participating in literary projects (e.g. Jáchym Topol and Miloš Urban). Both possibilities present certain danger: the custome-made written book does not implement previous author’s poetics, is a kind of experiment, which can lead to the situation where the author loses his faithful readers.
