Summary/Abstract: The author of this paper introduces Hamdija Šahinpašić, born in 1916 in Pljevlja in the Sandžak of Novi Pazar, one of the last living, active heirs to the traditional line of descent of Bosniac oral poetry. More exactly, he acquaints us with Šahinpašić’s highly diverse poetic repertoire (lyrical songs, ballads and romances) and his far more modest narrative repertoire, highlighting their basic forms.
