Summary/Abstract: The newest series of photographs by Andrzej P. Bator is entitled ‘Anamnesis – the Reconstruction of Images’. Bator concentrates on different subjects. He analysis and explains them. He refers to the human memory as the source of his inspiration. At the beginning of a project, he tries to remember certain motifs, produces preliminary drawings and writes comments. To series of pictures, he gives such titles as ‘Still Life and Memory’, Places without Memory’. The series entitled ‘Anamnesis – the reconstruction of Images’ includes self-portrait as central motif. Also, the artist showed the atmosphere surrounding his images. We can refer to that atmosphere and tell our own stories based on his suggestions and references.
