Preface for an Alliance

Summary/Abstract: The present paper is focused on the problematic of the two main oppositional political parties (National Liberal Party and Democrat Party) and the new political alliance (Justice and Truth Alliance). The general political context after the 2000 Romanian parliamentary elections, the internal evolution of these oppositional parties, the political changes and leadership evolution inside them generated the premises for their approaching and coalition in a new political structure with the aim of winning the 2004 elections.
