Summary/Abstract: Teaching English as a foreign language in a higher educational institution, the University of Arts in Târgu Mureş, must be adequate to the sphere of interests of the student-actors, puppeteers, directors, choreographers, impresarios. At this specialization students register with different for-eign language skills (beginner, intermediate, advanced), so we are speaking about subject and classroom teaching, and the educational standard is determinant. Teaching English requires more diversified didactics application the long-established manner of lecturing and approaching different fields of art is very important. This study presents applied didactics, opportunities to extend student`s specialized knowledge in compliance with educational standards and in confor-mity with fields of study.
