Audits, corrective and preventive actions as mechanisms of improvement of management systems – experience of studied organizations

Summary/Abstract: This article presents internal and external mechanisms of chosen improvement of organizations, which implemented quality management system based on ISO 9001, environmental management system based on ISO 14001 and health and security system based on PN-N 18001. The author of this article shows a three of mechanisms of management systems, especially audits, corrective and preventive actions. The author’s deliberations were prepared pursuant to research carried out at the end of 2010 and at the beginning of 2011 in 99 organizations in Poland which implemented formalized management system.
