Separatism of the territories and centralizing policy of the state power in Russia in the 20th century.

Summary/Abstract: The article examines the reasons for the separatist tendencies in Russia. The system of the power centralization having formed to 1918 helped to save national economy and prevent the collapse of the state. Nevertheless later tough vertical ties had become the main trouble of the command economy and led to the chaos of the relationship between the centre and regions in Russia to the end of the 1980s - beginning of the 1990s.
