Summary/Abstract: The author attempts an analysis of the hoards from the extra-Carpathian territories, dating from the period between the VIIIth - XIVth centuries. There were found 45 hoards (24 in Valachia, 21 in Moldavia), totalizing 9,105 coins. In the first part of the article, the hoards are presented, while the second part makes an analysis of the hoards, according to different criteria: the states that issued the coins, different indicators and the material of the coins. We have identified 3 periods of hoarding: 1205-1210, 1220-1230, 1241-1270, caused by military crisis, many of them with commercial repercussions. Many of the hoards are collections of locally issued coins, many of them made of copper.
