Summary/Abstract: Juvenile justice is part of the criminal justice system where restorative measures are by far most implemented. This means that, particularly considering the interests of the juvenile offender, response of the criminal justice system towards these offenders is more oriented towards their further protection against future crimes, than towards their punishment. Council of Europe’s legislative activities has made this trend obvious and appreciated as a general milestone in the criminal justice treatment to the juvenile offenders. These latest trends are also recognized and introduced in the latest Law on Juvenile Justice in Republic of Macedonia. Authors of this text besides commenting the latest legal provisions are providing wide answers backing up the reasons for their implementation and their adaptation in the criminal justice system in Republic of Macedonia.
