SOCIAL-DEMOGRAPHIC PROBLEMS ВОТН IN ТНЕ FIELD OF AGRICULTURE AND VILLAGES IN ТНЕ REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA

Summary/Abstract: The rural агеаѕ in Macedonia have experienced tremendous changes for the last 45 years: the volume of the agricultural and rural population has rapidly decreased in relation to the whole population, the number of the households with real estates has been increased, but the average size of the latter ones has been decreased etc. The quantitative changes reflected not only to the volume of rural population, but to its structure and the way of reproduction too. The decline of the agricultural population rate of natality, the massive employment of young in the nonagricultural activities and the migration toward the urban centers makes the number of relatively old people increase, i.e. makes the village get old. The old village population becomes а serious economic and social problem. The essence of the problem is in the inability for аmodern technical agricultural exploitation of the land, all in а strictly economic purpose. The effects of this are poor incomes concequencing social problems.
