Summary/Abstract: The purpose of law is not in supporting arbitrariness, but in restraining it, not so much in making desires come true as in actualization of exigency and interest, and in the power to curb anarchism and violence. Freedom, therefore fulfills its purpose only by affirmation of humanum, otherwise it is lost in its antithesis, as demonstrated by liberalism through absolutization and by anarchism through lawlessness wherein freedom has no boundaries nor measure in what is wanted, which leads to creation of disorder in the place of order. Freedom is confined within the boundaries of order by appropriately assessed goals coordinated with adequate means which pertain to conditions for affirmation of humanum.
