Summary/Abstract: The present article is aimed at the comparative analysis between the two presidents’ security strategies. There is no doubt that each presidency was characterized by different priorities, however, there are a few elements that are stable in the American security strategy, as the definition of national interest, recognition of democracy as the best political system in the world and the leading and special role of the U.S. in the contemporaneous relationships. The article tries to present a general overview on the common elements shared by B. Clinton and G.W. Bush and reflects about the main differences between the security policy of their Administrations.
