Summary/Abstract: The present article is a comparative analysis of the two presidents’ security strategies. There is no doubt that each presidency was characterized by different priorities, however, there are a few elements that are consisten in the American security strategy, such as the definition of national interest, recognition of democracy as the best political system in the world and the leading role of the USA in world affairs. The article tries to present a general overview on the common elements shared by Bill Clinton and George W. Bush and reflects upon the main differences between the security policies of their administrations.
