Communication among the members of two ethnic youth organizations in Bulgaria

Summary/Abstract: Even though the Russians and the Ukrainians are not among the most numerous immigrant communities in Bulgaria, both ethnic groups have recently established youth departments at their most influential ethnic foundations (in Bulgaria). These are the Youth Community at the Federation “Union of the Russian Nationals” (YCFURN) and the Youth Department “BUKI – Ukrainians in Bulgaria”. In accordance with the topic of the international symposium – „Ethnology of Communication” – the present text considers the interactive behavior of the members of these ethnic youth organizations, or, more exactly, their face-to-face meetings and their computer-mediated communication by the use of the social networking website Facebook.
