Summary/Abstract: Caravanserais and tradeinns are among the most typical architectural designs to be found on the territory of Anatolia which is a port of the Great Route of the Silk. Initially, both types of buildings were similar in design but later substantial differences appeared. The focus of the study is “Balkapan Han” /”Балкапанъ хан”/ in Istanbul where most Bulgarians stayed bringing their culture.
