Summary/Abstract: Political, military, strategic, diplomatic, etc. dimensions of Balkan Wars are enlightened considerably, whereas some significant aspects are ignored such as the fate of relics in the lands of Thrace and Macedonia that witnessed war. From the reports presented to high authorities and also from the diaries of young and enthusiastic Bulgarian scientists and artists who are assigned to make scientific research and investigations in mentioned regions just a few days after the declaration of war, it is realized that a large number of relics such as manuscript, coin, carpet, icon, sword, capital and gravestone from Thracian, Ancient Greek, Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman periods were removed and transported to Sofia with a careful organization. On the other hand, many relics were rescued from loot and destruction by this way. This paper is about the report of a scientific trip between December 20th and January 13th, 1913 to the region of Marmara coast made by Venelin Ganev, who was an Associate Professor in Law at Sofia University at that period and about the fate of three icons taken from Fenerköy Saint Mary's Church.
