Summary/Abstract: Bribe-taking is a crime with qualified active subject. Besides the general requirements a person must normally meet in order to be considered the active subject of this crime, an additional requirement is necessary, namely the status of “civil servant” or “other kind of official.” The scope of the bribery-taking crime was extended through the provisions of Law no. 78/2000 on preventing, discovering and sanctioning of corruption acts.
