Summary/Abstract: In this paper, we present a theoretical and applicable development of decision substantiation under uncertainty circumstances. We first propose for a personal analysis the notion of variable center of gravity associated to a fuzzy number. Then we enlarge upon the theoretical and applicable description of rectangular fuzzy numbers with an associated center of gravity, and on the specific mathematical operations. Our research continues with the theoretical and applicable development of the Laplace method. Our contributions to the substantiation of decisions under uncertainty circumstances using fuzzy numbers with a variable associated center
