Summary/Abstract: The Hague Conventions of 1899 and 1907 on the peaceful settlement of international disputes included only the wish to renounce the use of force and to resort to peaceful means of resolving international disputes. "In order to prevent the possible use of force in relations among states – is revealed in the first Hague Convention of 1907 – the contracting powers agree to make every effort to ensure the peaceful settlement of international disagreements."
