Summary/Abstract: The future of command and control in multinational joint operations is progressing in terms that are not very linked with the current definitions of Command and Control. C4ISR is currently pushing ROU Armed Forces forward to find the means and the ways to harmonize its capabilities for better use in NATO, while the C2 system is still critical. This article presents and discusses some key terms that could form the core of a new conceptual foundation, one that can provide a point of departure for the systematic exploration of future „command and control”. Three concepts form this core: agility, focus, and convergence.
