Summary/Abstract: The study was conducted starting with the premise that the employees of the Ministry for Administration and Interior (Romanian abbreviation: MAI) are currently exposed at work to the "front-office" stress factor so as the other employees are as well. We tried to demonstrate that în addition to this stress factor, for the M.A.I. workers there are some supplementary stressing factors. The study was carried out with 410 subjects divided into two groups: 1. Investigated batch (A) includes 225 subjects, operational MAI staff; 2. Control group (B), including 185 subjects, employees of civil institutions. Analysis results show that the working environment of “front-office” is itself not a risk factor. The existing association of the rigidity imposed military environment, with the lack of empowerment în decision-making, also associated with additional stress induced by working with the public generates different responses from the exposed human body.
