Summary/Abstract: The article deals with certain specifics of copying of sculptures in the Roman period, giving examples from Bulgarian lands. These examples suggest that types of Greek classical sculpture in the broadest sense of the term have obviously been popular and easily understandable to the societies both in the capital and the provinces in Roman period. As for the copies, our provinces have their natural place within the provinces of the Roman Empire, keeping up with the trends, choices and tastes of those days and with the popular at the time types in the capital and the rest of the provinces occur on a regular basis in Upper and Lower Moesiaand Thrace.
