Forms of activation of long-term unemployed in the context of the Europe 2020 strategy

Summary/Abstract: In the introduction of the article there were presented the priorities of the Europe 2020 strategy, which refer directly or indirectly to employment issues and the labour market. Then there were analysed forms of activation of the unemployed in terms of economic literature and present employment policy, with references to the Europe 2020 strategy. The emphasis was put on the ways of activation of the long-term unemployed, whose return to the labour market requires intensive support from emloyment services. The analysis of policies used in the EU member countries helped to find solutions for the realisation of some of the strategy priorities.
