The impact of globalizationon a higher specialization levelin international exchange of goods

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to prove that high degree of world economy globalization leads to the deepening of specialization and thus to a higher concentration level of industry, reflected in a larger scale of intra-industry trade. This phenomenon is related with achieving relatively high added value from international trade. A comparative analysis of 48 countries divided into three groups according to their income level performed in the years 1995-2010 have confirmed the presence of considered regularities that are characteristic for subsequent stages of a country’s economic development path, that means first an increasing diversification of the production and export structure, and then its subsequent and gradual decline.
