Summary/Abstract: The Srebrenica region, which was inhabited mainly by followers of the Bosnian Church, was subjected to several genocides and urbicides in the developed and later feudal ages, possibly also because it was the headquarters of the Franciscan province of Bosnia Argentina. Basing its arguments on little-used or wholly unused, but well-known historical material, this paper seeks to shatter certain dogmatic views on the life and work of the Franciscans in Srebrenica.
