Summary/Abstract: Historical and sociological analysis of the state family policy in Russia in the periods of 1900—1917, 1917—1990, 1990—1999, 2000—2008 years is made. Legal basis of family and marriage relationships, the character of interrelations between the state and the family, forms of the social support are covered. The conclusions about the efficiency of family pol-icy of Russian state during each of the abovementioned periods are drawn.
