Summary/Abstract: The new historical-economic phenomenon has many names, each with an explanation, highlighting a specific feature of the new economic and technological forces that are nascent. The multitude of terms that attempts to define this phenomenon also indicates that, what has not yet emerged and set in stable forms, can’t be labeled clearly and unambiguously, so we adopted the generic term of the “New Economy”. In this context, the economics lectures seems to impose the computer as a tool, disciplines such as econometrics, statistics, mathematics, decision modeling and others are promoting the new wave in teaching technique. The simple using of the computer as a support for Power Point type presentations must be expanded. In the improvement direction of these courses we may use customized software or the folding of the computational techniques to the disciplines' needs. We choose to analyze the discipline: Insurance and reinsurance from this perspective.
