Summary/Abstract: Economists have shown that the labor market, due to its specific, remains, in terms of the repercussions on the human factor, one of the most regulated and sensitive markets. This paperwork was born from personal concerns about finding an answer to the question: what makes employees to accept a wage/ compensation that do not cover even the minimum necessary for their subsistence? After having evaluated the current situation on the Romanian labor market, I laid out what I believe to be the major questions that research in the area should address going forward.
