Summary/Abstract: Pollution is a major phenomenon that directly or indirectly, through induced effects, affects us all. Through this work we do not try to make an exhaustive presentation of the various forms of air pollution, our intention is to reveal the causal link between the combined action of pollutants on the human body and the onset of respiratory diseases. From this point of view, we applied the regression function, where the dependent variable chosen was series of age structure of the number’s cases of respiratory diseases recorded in the Constanta County and the independent variables were pollutants: Sulphur dioxide (SO2); Nitrogen oxides (NOx) and Carbon dioxide (CO2). This paper is intended more like an exercise in information, on the one hand, over the possibilities for preventing the occurrence of disease by keeping under control the action of certain categories of pollutants combined with the synergy effect and, on the other hand, of deficiencies of the system for monitoring the effects of pollutants on the environment, in general and the human body, in particular.
