ERROR ANALYSIS IN THE USE OF THE DEFINITE ARTICLE IN GREEK IN THE INTERLANGUAGE OF BULGARIANS

Summary/Abstract: The subject of this article is the error analysis in the use of the Greek definite article in the Bulgarians’ intermediate language. The most frequent mistakes made by Bulgarians studying Greek are analyzed. For that purpose a test was compiled designed for three groups of trainees – beginners, intermediate and advanced students, and in this test the most typical cases of the Greek definite article were presented. The goal was to check the mistakes made by the different groups of trainees, on the one hand, and on the other, to show the extent to which some of the mistakes were overcome, or on the contrary, (пак запетая) – fossilized, at the different stages of training. Based on the conclusions drawn at the end of the article a number of ways are proposed for overcoming the most persistent mistakes in the use of the Greek definite article on the part of the Bulgarians studying Greek.
