Summary/Abstract: Situation of province Scythia, and of the Eastern Roman Empire after Justinian's death was extremely difficult, pressure migratory populations in northern Danube becoming more oppressive and increasingly defensive capability lower. After the death of Emperor Justinian monetary circulation in the province of Scythia will experience a continuous process of decay due Slavic and Avar attacks, whose maximum intensity occurs from the last years of the sixth century.
