Summary/Abstract: This is an analysis on an interview in depth conducted by the author in 1996 within a big project under the title "New Social Inequalities in Bulgarian Villages" sponsored by Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science (1994-1998). The interview consists several parts devoted on different aspects of attitudes of the respondent - a small entrepreneur in a Bulgarian village - towards different dimensions of social inequalities in his village and society, as well as his assessments of the old and new stratified reality in the country, and on his expectations of the near future. His personal story is a good example of hopes, difficulties and drama of the first steps of small private economic subjects in post-communist society. More for the methods and analyses within the whole project can be read in the journal "Sotsiologitcheski Problemi"(Sociological Problems), №1-2, 1999 (in Bulgarian)
