Summary/Abstract: What is Epistemology? The cause to search for such response is K. Yanakiev's article ,,From the epistemological speculation to the study of networks' [Sociological problems 1994, 4] The author discusses the views of a school in the Sociology of science [Latour, Gallon, Knorr-Cetina, Woolgar, etc.] on the basis of the fundamental idea about "discourse" and its reflection in the transition from some french authors [Foucault, Derrida] to the school in question. The context of B. Latour's "networks" can expound not only in direction of Wittgenstein's "familial semblances" [which is done by K. Yanakiev], but also to the "discourse" and Gada-mer's Hermeneutics. At the end is given an example with Newton's Scholia from the beginning of "Philosophiae naturalis principia mathematica".
