Summary/Abstract: The article is connected to my previous article "Sociology of science and epistemology — networks and essences" (Sociological problems, 1997, 1-2). The proper subject of the article is the juxtaposition of epistemologic and economic relation in socialist economic system as an extreme variant of modern economic system. The socialist economic system is absolutely based upon epistemologic relation, i.e. like the modern enterprise. For the economic relation counteracts epistemo-logic one, the former is removed (really rather reduced) forcibly by the political power. It is distinguished the "ideal type" of socialist economic system based only upon epistemologic relation, and real socialist economic system which contains some forms of economic relation. Without (or with reduced) "brake" operation of economic relation, the socialist state is much more exposed to danger of accident, but the same circumstance enables it to realize forced modernization. Post-socialism is imminent to verify the economic results of the forced modernization.
