Summary/Abstract: The development of interethnic relations is definitely actualized in the situation of significant social changes in Bulgaria. The article presents part of the results of a large social psychological investigation on ethnic group profiles. The reasons for the choice of the four ethnic social groups are pointed out. Theoretical model suppose a relationship between correlates on two levels — implicit, social values and personal cognitive styles, and explicit — behavioural norms and ethics. The results, interpreted in the present article, include behavioral correlates on the explicit level. 224 Bulgarian citizents from Sofia, Haskovo and Razgrad have taken part as subjects, coming out of four different ethnic backgrounds — Bulgarian, Jewish, Turkish and Armenian. There are no significant intergroup differences in concern with general ethnic profiles of norm and ethics aspects of behaviour. This result gives us a base for possi-tive prediction about the possibility of establishment of interethnic equilibrium in the new social conditions.
