Changes in mutual interdependence between the WTO and the European Union in the agricultural policy

Summary/Abstract: The main aim of the article is the presentation of changes in the mutual interdependence between the WTO and the European Union in the agricultural policy. However, the specific objective of the paper is to highlight the rules of international agricultural trade and new courses of action of the WTO, the volatility of the prices for agricultural commodities on the world market and the trials of its weakening outside the WTO as well as new development in the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) resulting from the Doha Round. In the future as a result of the necessary reforms, the WTO should continue to stimulate the liberalisation of international trade and also, more than in the past, support the development of developing countries.
