The development of Polish agricultural sector in the perspective of the year 2030

Summary/Abstract: In 2009 the system of managing socio-economic development of Poland was modified. That is why Polish government started intensive preparations of a set of long- and medium development strategies of the whole country as well as of particular sectors. The agricultural sector plays a vital role in the project of the National Long-Term Development Strategy. The main aim of the paper is to present and evaluate proposals relating to the development of Polish agriculture in the perspective of the year 2030. Moreover, the author emphasizes the main changes in this sector which occurred between 2002 and 2010. The analysis was based on official government documents, statistical data and relevant literature of the subject.
