Summary/Abstract: Several roman era pottery and lithic fragments are exposed in a small archaeological collection in Mosna, Sibiu district. The items were recuperated several decades ago after works of leveling the ground for a vineyard were undertaken in a place situated several kilometers of the village. Traces of a roman construction (probably a villa rustica) were destroyed then. Apparently, a large quantity of building material, such as bricks, roof tiles, mortar or pottery fragments was observed on that occasion. The construction existed in the place nowadays called „La Morminte”. Satellite imagery revealed the existence of another roman era construction situated near Cristian, Sibiu district, at close distance from the National Road DN 1 – DN 7. The site was known before due to the discovery of pottery fragments from different periods of time, especially from the bronze age, and to a roman imperial coin (a denarius) issued for Herennia Sallustia Orbiana by Severus Alexander, therefore dated in the 3rd century. The construction is also visible from the near hill’s slope and in the field, its foundation walls creating liniar marks in the vegetation. The results of satellite imagery are unconvincing regarding the presence of other constructions situated near by, whose presence may be also presumed by marks in the vegetation.
