The Time of Uncertainty

Summary/Abstract: Industrial society is based on individuality, uniqueness, on the principle one of the kind, on order, regularity and hierarchy. Its man instruments were power, obligatory activities the functioning of global structures expressed in national states. It was a society of order, stability and conjecture. Information society is understood as local structure, network organized, in which uncertainty is dominant and is prone to permanent insecurity and changes. It operates on the bases of cooperation, merger and incorporation. Information society presupposes the existence of local phenomenon, changes, and the existing of aggregations that are neither permanent nor lasting. It is a society of uncertainty.
