Summary/Abstract: Internal cooperation of stakeholders in a tourism destination is not a source of competitive advantage on the contemporary tourism market any more. When implemented it allows only not to loose distance to market leaders. That is why tourism destinations searching for new sources of advantage over their competitors should carefully follow market tendencies to notice another factors allowing for building a temporary advantage. Such a factor can be regarded inter-destination cooperation based on building non-competitive relations with neighboring destinations. This idea is important as it is used in tourism market practice but is not described precisely in the literature. The aim of the paper is the preparation of a general typology of forms of inter-destination cooperation and description of their main strengths and weaknesses.
