Summary/Abstract: A company's choice of knowledge management strategy is not arbitrary − it must be driven by the company's competitive strategy. The aim of the article is to present knowledge management strategies and to assess the influence of knowledge strategy on the effectiveness of competing by quality in hospitality enterprises. The concept of knowledge management and its strategies have been presented in the theoretical part. In the empirical part the theory-testing with multiple case study method has been used. On the basis of the investigation it has been found that the best effects are gained when the main KM strategy is accompanied by subsidiary KM strategy.
