Summary/Abstract: The article presents the rules of motivating employees in a gastronomic company. The first part focuses on explaining theoretical notions concerning motivating employees. The next part of the article describes financial tools for motivating the staff, such as basic salary, insurances and discounts, discount cards and gifts. The final part includes the description of non-financial tools – promotions and professional development, time management and working conditions, occasional and integration events.
