Application of correspondence analysis in the analysis of tourist attractivenessof counties of west Pomeranian Voivodeship

Summary/Abstract: The article tries to answer the question about the level of tourist attractiveness of counties of West Pomeranian Voivodeship in comparison to an average level of selected variables describing this attractiveness in 2011. In the research there were used selected variables describing the environment and the level of tourist infrastructure. As a research tool there was used a multidimensional correspondence analysis based on the composed matrix of markers and Ward's method. The application of these methods allowed to show which counties differ positively and negatively from the average level of selected variables describing tourist attractiveness in West Pomeranian Voivodeship and what are the connections between the counties in terms of the tested variables.
