Evaluation of engagement of municipalities in raising European Union funds for tourism economy

Summary/Abstract: One of actions undertaken by public administration is the usage of EU-funds for the development of tourism economy. The aim of this paper is to present preliminary results of a survey conducted among communes from two Polish provinces: West Pomerania and Lubuskie. The survey relates to activities undertaken in application process for EU-funds. All research relates to financial perspective of 2007-2013.Apart from the survey among representatives of communes, another survey among tourism enterprises has been conducted. Here important issues regarding public-private cooperation has been researched.
