Summary/Abstract: The article looks at the external dimension of the EU Common Fisheries Policy (CFP). It provides a general overview of the fisheries agreements with third countries and Regional Fisheries Management Organisations and presents their economic benefits for the EU economy. The final section examines the options for the CFP reform outlined in the 2009 Green Paper.
